Why athletes uniting?
As athletes we are empowered everyday through our training and competition. We grow stronger both physically and mentally with every workout and every step towards our next goal. We want to pass along this love of sport and the confidence it instills in everyone. When you are confident, empowered and constantly knocking down barriers, you are less likely to be a victim.
But I’m not an athlete . . .
Everyone is an athlete inside, it’s just a matter of finding it. How many of you never played a sport as a child, but found triathlon, swimming or running as an adult? It’s never too late to become an athlete. Maybe you were an athlete as a kid, but stopped when you got older. You still have never lost the character traits instilled in you when you were competing. We want to encourage, inspire and help everyone to see their inner-strength, confidence and beauty.
How does sharing the love of sport help?
It’s a ripple affect. “When you let your own light shine, you unconsciously give others permission to do the same.” By encouraging your neighbor, co-worker, friend, relative to try something new, believe in him/herself, run a 5k, come to a group fitness class, or maybe something as simple as giving your child’s friend a ride to practice everyday, you are in-turn helping them to find their inner-athlete. When they find their inner-athlete, they pass it on to their children and to their family and friends. We may not be able to change the whole world at once, but we can definitely help to encourage one person at a time.
